Lore & Background
March 7th was originally sealed inside a block of 'Six-Phased Ice' drifting in space before being found by Himeko Murata's Astral Express crew. Having no memory of her past, she named herself March 7th based on the rescue date. Her primary drive is to use photography to preserve memories of her adventures, hoping they will eventually uncover clues about who she was. In her quest-focused story 'Total Recall,' she attempted to reconstruct her memories using Fu Xuan's Matrix of Prescience on the Xianzhou Luofu. The process generated an unstable memory space where she briefly glimpsed herself sealed in the Six-Phased Ice, confirming her amnesia is tied to something larger than a simple accident before a Garden of Recollection agent halted the recovery.
In Their Own Story
In version 3.6 (2025), after visiting Amphoreus, March 7th fell ill and was entrapped in a coma by the reappearing Six-Phased Ice. A protective alter ego named Evernight emerged to seize control of her body. Unlike March, who values preserving memories naturally, Evernight seeks to use the Path of Remembrance to reshape cause and effect, believing it necessary to override others' agency or erase painful memories to ensure a better future. Evernight even kidnapped the Trailblazer, defending these actions as legitimate sacrifices for a 'worth living' timeline. Ultimately, March 7th's original consciousness intervened, restoring control to her body while Evernight voluntarily entered a state of slumber. Following this event, March exhibits an increased desire to protect her friends.
Reader's Guide
March 7th has three playable forms: Preservation (Path of Preservation), Hunt (Path of The Hunt), and Evernight (Path of Remembrance). Her default Preservation form is a 4-star character who uses Six-Phased Ice; her Skill removes one debuff from an ally and grants a shield based on defense, which taunts if the ally's HP is above 30%. Her Ultimate deals AoE Ice damage with a freeze chance, and she counterattacks when a shielded ally is hit. The Hunt form, added in version 2.4, is also a free 4-star character dealing Imaginary damage; her Skill buffs an ally's speed and Break Effect while stacking Charge for enhanced attacks. Evernight, a limited 5-star released in version 3.6, summons the memosprite Evey. Her Basic Attack deals Ice damage based on HP, her Skill consumes 10% HP to summon Evey and boost crit damage, and her Ultimate enters 'Darkest Riddle,' increasing enemy damage taken by 30% while granting immunity to crowd control.
