Yukong

Lore & Background

Yukong's narrative arc is defined by her role in handling the Stellaron crisis and her connection to Tingyun. She serves as a bridge between the protagonist and the high command of the Xianzhou Luofu, specifically General Jing Yuan. During the early stages of the story, she guides the group after their rescue from mara-corrupted soldiers. Her history is further revealed through her relationship with Tingyun; it is disclosed that Yukong helped raise Tingyun as a child. This connection becomes significant later when they reunite on the planet of Penacony, where Yukong's past role as a guardian adds emotional weight to their interactions.

In Their Own Story

Shortly after landing on the Xianzhou Luofu, the Trailblazer rescues Yukong from a group of soldiers corrupted by mara. She introduces herself and takes the group to meet General Jing Yuan, who then entrusts them with the task of capturing Kafka, a Stellaron Hunter also present on the ship. After Kafka is arrested by Fu Xuan, Tingyun accompanies the group walking toward the Exalting Sanctum for the interrogation, noting she cannot find a direct entrance to the Divination Commission from their location. Later in the story, on the planet of Penacony, it is revealed that Yukong helped raise Tingyun as a child. When they reunite there, Tingyun decides not to simply return home but to use her experience against the enemies of the Xianzhou.

Reader's Guide

Her role is strictly that of a story NPC who facilitates the protagonist's introduction to the Xianzhou Luofu leadership and aids in the early investigation of the Stellaron threat.
