Antimatter Legion
Enforcers of Nanook's will, bringing destruction to any planet they touch.
The Antimatter Legion serves as the primary military force following the Path of Destruction, acting under the command of the Aeon Nanook. They are depicted as a formidable antagonistic group driven to eradicate all civilization through the spreading of disasters. The Legion is composed of Lord Ravagers, who act as Emanators of Destruction and enforce the will of their Aeon with power incomparably greater than mere mortals. Lore & Background
The Antimatter Legion is defined by its alignment with the Path of Destruction, which believes that civilization is cancerous to the universe. Their primary weapon in spreading this disaster is the Stellaron, an object known as the 'Cancer of All Worlds' that brings destruction to any planet it is placed on. The Legion is led by Lord Ravagers, who are Emanators directly blessed with divine powers by Nanook and serve as his enforcers. While other Paths may be neutral or antagonistic in rivalries, the Legion represents a direct existential threat. Their influence is evident throughout the narrative, often manipulating events to further their goal of eradicating civilization.
In Their Own Story
The conflict begins at the Herta Space Station when it is attacked by the Antimatter Legion's followers of Destruction. During this chaos, the Stellaron Hunters steal a powerful object called a Stellaron and implant it into an artificial body, which awakens as the Trailblazer. The crew later travels to Jarilo-VI, a planet frozen by a Stellaron's influence, where they discover that its leader, Cocolia, has been corrupted by the Legion and intends to sacrifice the planet. With help from the Aeon Qlipoth, the Trailblazer defeats her. Later, on the Xianzhou Luofu, manipulation by the Antimatter Legion leads to a major battle where they send an agent named Phantylia. The crew also encounters the Legion's forces at Amphoreus, where a Lord Ravager is incubated specifically to attack Nous, the Aeon of Erudition.
Reader's Guide
The Antimatter Legion operates as a direct antagonist force throughout the game, often initiating major plot points through their use of Stellarons. Players first encounter them during the Herta Space Station tutorial event and subsequently face their influence on Jarilo-VI, where they corrupt Cocolia. On the Xianzhou Luofu, the Legion's agent Phantylia orchestrates conflicts involving political intrigue and the revelation of Dan Heng's past as Dan Feng. In later story arcs at Amphoreus, the Legion attempts to use a simulated universe to incubate a Lord Ravager capable of challenging an Aeon. Defeating their agents often requires utilizing the specific combat mechanics of the game, such as matching Light Cone Paths and managing team compositions against their high-damage outputs.
